Pearl by Emma White
Written in memory of the Emma’s mother who passed away in 2016.

The processes of losing a loved one can sometimes feel like being under water. Pearl draws threads between the submerging feeling of grief and the waters of birth, reflecting on the cyclical nature of life and the hope that comes with new beginnings.

Adam is Amara’s neighbour. When he discovers Amara makes ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) videos he is intrigued and persuades her to let him into her online world. Then he makes the mistake of being openly critical during a livestream.
