Where we are going to party next?

Richie Brave asks how existing inequalities and Covid will impact on black cultural events.

Richie Brave wants to know when he can rave again. In this show he asks how Covid could impact our favourite events and festivals moving forwards, and, long term, where does black culture get to thrive?

We hear from people addressing organisational issues. Richie is joined by Amahra Spence, founder of the black led cultural hub YARD arthouse in Birmingham, who talks about land justice and creating black led spaces. Whitney Boateng, booking agent at WME and founder of Ends Festival, talks about the road to recovery; and Adem Holness curator at the Horniman Museum in London, and founder of the 696 festival, talks about the kinds of organisational changes needed to support black creatives.
