22nd June marks 50 years since the release of possibly the most influential of all singer-songwriter folk albums. Intimate, disarming and sophisticated, Joni Mitchell's Blue is cherished and revered by fans and musicians of all kinds.
On this show, Karine Polwart, AnaΓ―s Mitchell, Declan O'Rourke and Olivia Chaney send notes of thanks to Joni for an album that had a big influence on their lives and work.
We also hear Olivia Chaney's cover of A Case of You and a selection of remastered and previously unreleased Joni Mitchell tracks from Blue and the Blue sessions.
