The pandemic has hit every generation's work prospects hard, but especially those entering the world of work for the first time. Is starting one's own business the answer?
The pandemic has hit every generation's work prospects hard, but none more so than those entering the world of work for the first time. In the midst of global lockdowns and recessions many GenZer's have seen the prospect of securing a traditional 9 to 5 roles dry up, with the ILO young people are more than twice as likely to find themselves unemployed during the pandemic. Discussing all of this is Anita Tiessen, the boss of Youth Business International, who have supported around 300 thousand young businesses around the world during the pandemic, and Jared Schacter, who founded hot sauce company Bombanana at the age of just 22.
