Bishop Gregory Cameron
A service to celebrate Pentecost led by the Rt Rev'd Gregory Cameron, Bishop of St Asaph, who explores how the Holy Spirit can transform peoples’ lives.
A service to celebrate Pentecost which comes fifty days after Easter, led by the Rt Rev'd Gregory Cameron, Bishop of St Asaph. He explores how God’s Holy Spirit can transform peoples’ lives in extraordinary and unexpected ways. During the service we hear biblical readings of how lives were turned upside down by God’s spirit.
However, Bishop Gregory says ‘we don’t only have to look to the past for the action of the Holy Spirit; Christians still experience the Spirit’s ministry in their own lives’. For the service, he’s joined by Andy and Rachel Kitchen, who tell how they sought the guidance of the Spirit in making the decision to move their family and centre their lives on setting up a new church community in Hope St in Wrexham.
Hymns include ‘Gracious Spirit, Holy Ghost’, ‘Come down O love divine’, ‘Breathe on me, breath of God’ and the ancient plainchant hymn ‘Veni Creator Spiritus’ (Come Holy Ghost our souls inspire).
The evening edition of the programme includes My Favourite Hymn.
