Joe Cornish

Comedian and director Joe Cornish joins Mark and Stuart to share his 'First, Last and Everything'

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast

Today, comedian, director and former 6 Music presenter Joe Cornish joins Mark and Stuart to share his 'First, Last and Everything' - that’s the first record he owned, the most recent one he’s enjoyed and the record that means β€˜everything’ to him. He also chats about his former comedy TV show with Adam Buxton which is being made available to watch again.

His work as a director includes the 2011 sci-fi film β€˜Attack The Block’ and his work as a writer includes the screenplay for Steven Spielberg’s movie β€˜The Adventures of Tintin.’ He is known to many for his work with Adam Buxton, including the pair’s 6 Music show which aired between 2007 and 2011. Prior to their radio show they collaborated on cult TV comedy series β€˜The Adam & Joe Show.’ All four series are being made available on BritBox. Joe makes a welcome return to the Big British Castle and the 6 Music airwaves to tell Mark and Stuart all about it, and share some of his favourite music and memories.

Also on the show... a whole host of quality radio items including 'Breakfast Blend' - three tracks that make a great sonic blend - plus another instalment of Sunday Glove Songs.

You can take part in The Chain, choosing a track for our world-famous list of over 8000 interconnected songs.

Plus a finely balanced blend of new and old music, setting you up for a Sunday.
