Singer and songwriter Ed Dowie chats to Mark about his latest album

Mark Radcliffe presents solo, with a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast

Today Mark is joined by singer and songwriter Ed Dowie. Ed鈥檚 latest album 鈥楾he Obvious I鈥� is one of Mark鈥檚 favourite new albums of the year so far. It鈥檚 Ed鈥檚 second album and follows his 2017 debut 鈥楾he Uncle Sold.鈥� As a child Ed was a chorister in Dorset, and he went on to study music at De Montford University in Leicester. On his new album, Ed adhered to Kraftwork鈥檚 maxim about achieving the maximum emotional impact with the most minimal means. He says he wanted to make something that reflects the 鈥渢urbulence of the period without adding to it.鈥�
