Justin Currie's Final Tracks of My Years

Justin Currie from Del Amitri chooses his final Tracks of My Years. There's the daily love song, record and album of the week plus PopMaster.

Justin Currie, founding member of Del Amitri, chooses the Tracks of My Years. Born in Glasgow, Justin established the band in the early eighties after putting up a sign in a music shop asking for other people who could play instruments to get in touch with him. Throughout their first chapter between 1985 and 2002 the band had a string of hits including ‘Nothing Ever Happens’, ‘Always The Last To Know’ and ‘Roll To Me’. These songs became international radio staples, propelling a career that accomplished five UK Top 10 albums, success in the US and over 8 million sales globally.

February this year saw the release of their brand new single 'It's Feelings' written by Justin and guitarist Iain Harvie, and the forthcoming new album 'Fatal Mistakes' will be available later this month, a full nineteen years since their previous album. In September they will be embarking on a UK headline tour culminating at Glasgow's iconic Barrowlands venue. The tour also includes a substantial run of dates across the country plus a major show at the London Palladium.

The final two tracks Justin has chosen come from The Rolling Stones and Pharrell Williams. Ken also has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus PopMaster. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk
