January 1942 - war interrupts the actor’s career and he is sent to Kent. Peter Ustinov reads his autobiography.

"In January 1942, I received my call-up papers. Asked if I had any preference as to the arm I wished to serve in, I told the officer I was interested in Tanks. " Why tanks? " he asked, keenly. I replied that I preferred to go into battle sitting down."
