Kate Garraway, Jessie Ware and The Why Workshop

Kate Garraway talks to Zoe about her new book and her incredibly challenging year. Plus Jessie Ware is on the phone with a World Exclusive new song for Zoe to play.

Kate Garraway talks to Zoe about her new book, The Power of Hope, which tells the story of her incredibly challenging year. Kate shares the raw and emotional story of the devastating impact that Covid-19 has had on her family - and how they are finding strength in hope. In March 2020, Kate Garraway's husband, Derek Draper, contracted Covid-19 and was placed in a medically-induced coma. Initially, Kate was told that he would not survive. Still in hospital and in a critical condition, he is thought to be the UK's longest-fighting Covid-19 patient. Covid-19 has affected everyone across the country in so many ways and Kate hopes that by revealing her own personal experience, it will give comfort to others. By sharing the lessons she has learnt along the way, it will help us all begin to try to re-build our lives.

Jessie Ware, the UK singer-songwriter, is on the phone to give Zoe the World Exclusive first play of brand new music from her album Whats Your Pleasure?. Jessie has two BRITs nominations for 2021, one for Female Solo artist and one for Album Of The Year – the category with a historic four women up for the award. June 2020 saw Jessie release ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’ and gain not only her fourth UK Top 10 album of her career, but also her highest charting record when it entered straight into the UK Official Album Charts at No.3.
