As well as a successful solo career, Luther also sang lead vocals with Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Change, Frank Sinatra, Patti Austin and Beyonce. He also provided backing vocals for David Bowie, Roberta Flack, Bette Midler, Ringo Starr, Stevie Wonder, Richard Marx, Roxy Music, Chic, Average White Band, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Carly Simon and many more.
