A service from St Mary’s Parish Church, Conwy to celebrate Easter Day led by the Vicar, the Rev’d David Parry. The preacher is the Archdeacon of Bangor, Mary Stallard.

Like last year, we’re not able to celebrate this holiest of days as we might. Yet the Easter message is one of hope - whatever our own diffidence or apprehension about the future, especially as a result of the pandemic. In this service, we hear about the fear and bewilderment of the three women as they witnessed the miracle of the empty tomb on that first Easter morning. There was plenty of unease and uncertainty then, and as we know from the headlines, there’s been more of the same in this day and age. Mary Stallard explores how the story of Easter resurrection can overcome fear and doubt.

Hymns - recorded last year by St Mary’s Church Choir and congregation before lockdown - include ‘Jesus Christ is risen today’, ‘The strife is o’er’ and ‘Thine be the glory’.
