How has our idea of happiness changed, a year into the pandemic? Plus, the story of why Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ presenter Ben Boulous changed his name. And how to prevent Gender-based Violence.
A year into the pandemic, has our definition of happiness changed? Have these challenges been a chance to hit the reset button on what matters to us? Connie is joined by psychologist and director of the Mind and Soul Foundation Kate Middleton and Action for Happiness leader Simon Wallis.
We’re marking a year of lockdown with a special report from a woman who’s spent a year in the Isle of Man, after going to shelter with her family.
We take a longer view over the stories of the past couple of weeks involving gender-based violence and explore what can be done to change beliefs and behaviours and what role men can take, with Rape Crisis Scotland’s Kathryn Dawson, and sex educator Ruth Eliot. And we’ll be discussing if there’s anything particular about Scottish masculinity with writer Dr Gerry Hassan.
We’ll hear from former editor of The Tablet Catherine Pepinster about the Vatican’s statement on same sex unions.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News presenter Ben Boulous shares the story of why he changed his name.
And with the announcement of a national moment of reflection on the anniversary of lockdown, a Quaker and a Buddhist think about what silence means and our experience of it in the past year.
