Heritage Railways & Booming Bitterns

Why it could be the end of the line for Llangollen but it's full steam ahead for Bala Lake heritage railway, and will the bitterns at Newport Wetlands breed again this year?

They are a major tourist attraction, but the future of the Llangollen Heritage railway is uncertain as volunteers call for financial help to save the line from the risk of closure. Meanwhile on a separate heritage line - plans to extend the Bala Lake Railway into the town took another step towards reality having raised a significant amount of funding.
