1986 was the year that Dwight Yoakam, pioneer of Honky-tonk and Bakersfield country for a new generation broke through into the mainstream country market with his debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc.,Etc, which garnered 2 top 10 singles including ‘Honky Tonk Man’. In August of 1986 he performed at the Half Moon, Putney with a set including Down The Road, A Thousand Miles From Nowhere, Walkin' After Midnight, and Ring Of Fire.
