Music from The Wiseguys, Billie Myers and a chat with Partners In Kryme
The best One Hit Wonders and the stories behind them, with Richard Usher from Partners In Kryme talking about ‘Turtle Power’, from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack.
OJ plays the best One Hit Wonders from the 80s, 90s and 00s.
This week, he’s chatting to Richard Usher.
He’s from the duo Partners In Kryme, their song ‘Turtle Power’ was on the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack.
It was number 1 in the UK for 4 weeks in the summer of 1990, as children across the country were deciding which Turtle they were most like out of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo or Raphael?
Richard explains how they got to record the song for the movie, which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle he thinks he’s most like, and how they got a shout out at the Oscars from Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda!
