Former Whitesnake and current Dead Daisies guitarist Doug Aldrich chooses his Rock God.

Doug Aldrich knows how to shred a guitar. Just ask Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale - Doug was his lead guitarist for 12 years before moving on to pastures new in 2014. Now, Doug is doing his thing for the Dead Daisies and they've just released their new album.

There's another connection there - Mr Coverdale's former Deep Purple bandmate Glenn Hughes is currently fronting the Dead Daisies! So Doug is keeping it all in the family.

Doug's Rock God stands head and shoulders above all the rest...at least that's what Doug thinks. Many may agree with him too, after all this chap single-handedly wrote and played the guitar solo to one of rock's most famous tracks of all time, not to mention played guitar for a band that's shifted 300 million records and counting. Doug was lucky enough to meet and make friends with his Rock God - nice work, Doug!

Elsewhere on the show, Johnnie's digging in the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Archives for 'This Week In Rock' plus he's got a clutch of top-notch new releases as well as a bevvy of bona fide classics.
