Cosmo Sheldrake takes us on a sonic journey through Woodlands
Cosmo Sheldrake takes us on a sonic journey through Woodlands.
From night-time in a bluebell wood in Dorset, to a coppiced wood in Kent with a nightingale, through to dawn chorus on midsummers morning, to windy beach woods and downs in Hampshire, to the midst of a goat heard in an olive grove on a Greek mountainside.
We hear tawny owls hooting, night jars churring, nightingales warbling, the dawn chorus deafening, skylarks trilling, a bumble bee pollinating bluebells, goats clanking and a Scops Owl whistling.
All of the music is composed almost entirely out of recordings of these animals and the sound worlds that they inhabit.
Featuring field recordings and music by Cosmo Sheldrake.
