Jamie鈥檚 guest on the show this week is the LA-based vocalist, Lady Blackbird, who joins him for a Take 5 interview!

One of the breakout voices of last year, she grabbed the jazz world鈥檚 attention with her debut single - a soulful, anguished take on Nina Simone鈥檚 classic Blackbird, a piece which the singer, real name Marley Munroe, took her artist name from.

A string of singles which showcase Lady Blackbird鈥檚 unique, powerful vocal style, have seen her called 鈥渢he Grace Jones of jazz鈥� and built anticipation for her forthcoming debut album, Black Acid Soul. The record, due this Spring, was made with Grammy-nominated producer Chris Seefried and with tracks recorded at the legendary Sunset Sound in Hollywood - it is set to make a big impact in 2021.
