Elaine Paige, award winning actress, singer, producer and radio presenter, chooses All New Tracks of My Years ahead of this weekend's result from 'Radio 2's Greatest Song From a Musical Vote'. EP, as she's affectionately known on Radio 2, has made a unique and major contribution to the stage musical. She has starred in more smash hit West End and Broadway musicals than anyone else of her generation including Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Billy, Anything Goes, Piaf, Sunset Boulevard, The King & I, Sweeney Todd, The Drowsy Chaperone, Follies, originating the award winning role of Eva Peron in Evita followed by Grizabella in Cats and Florence in Chess.
Elaine has defined musicals, set standards and in 1995 was awarded an OBE for services to Musical Theatre. Her much-loved Radio 2 show - Elaine Paige on Sunday - launched on 5 September 2004 featuring all the latest news from stage and screen plus on-stage mishaps and requests from listeners. She has also presented a special Tony Awards show with interviews and music from nominees since 2015.
The next two tracks Elaine has chosen come from Richard Harris and The Beatles. Ken has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus another round of PopMaster. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk
