Jamie鈥檚 guest on the show this week is the Australian singer and pianist, Allysha Joy, who joins him for a Take 5 interview!

Working out of the bubbling Melbourne scene, Allysha is a key part of the city鈥檚 influential jazz, hip-hop and soul collective 30/70. She has longstanding links to the UK though - touring here regularly and releasing her debut solo album, Acadie : Raw, on a British label in 2018 - an album which featured on many end-of-year lists.

Allysha鈥檚 latest EP, Light It Again, is a personal, reflective record, with lyrics touching on love, shame, mental health, grief and spirituality. Her soulful songwriting is supported by a cast of 30/70 bandmates and Grammy nominated Hiatus Kaiyote drummer Clever Austin serves as producer.
