Heart of Wales Walk
Exploring the Heart of Wales rural walking trail, a long-distance route based on one of the most scenic railway lines in Britain.
The Heart of Wales line is more than just a train line. It runs 120 miles between Shrewsbury and Swansea, travelling through beautiful and unspoilt scenery. It's a great way to access the countryside and is already used by walkers to gain access to the many of the remote halts on the line and existing walks that include Offa's Dyke Path and GlyndΕµr's Way. But now a project is underway to create a unique walking trail linked to the line, a long distance walk which will weave between stations. The idea is to attract more visitors and walkers and create a major destination for recreational walking.
