Gary Davies sits in with Steph McGovern's Tracks Of My Years

Steph McGovern - star of her own Channel 4 lunchtime show and formerly of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Breakfast and Radio 2 - picks the Tracks Of My Years.

Channel 4 star Steph McGovern picks the Tracks Of My Years as Gary sits in for Ken.

Born in Middlesbrough, Steph's first taste of media life came at the age of 19 when she made a guest appearance on a programme about women in science. She had just won the title of Young Engineer for Britain. She went on to present 'Pocket Money Pitch' for CΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ and co-presented the consumer series 'Shop Well For Less' with Alex Jones on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One. Steph joined the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Watchdog presenting team in 2016 and co-presented 'Can Britain Have A Pay Rise?' for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two alongside James O'Brien.

She has been both a panellist and host on 'Have I Got News For You' plus enjoyed a brief stint here at Radio 2 working as a business presenter on the Chris Evans Drivetime Show. Steph left Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Breakfast in October 2019 to join Channel 4 where she launched her own lunchtime programme 'The Steph Show' from her front room on 30 March 2020. The show eventually re-launched in September the same year as 'Steph's Packed Lunch'. Last November Steph and her partner gave birth to a baby girl. She is also a mentor for young people in Teesside and regularly runs workshops for schoolchildren around the North East.

The next two tracks Steph has chosen come from A1 and Melanie C. Gary also has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus PopMaster. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Gary.Davies@bbc.co.uk
