Call You and Yours - What help have you had for your mental health in Coronavirus?

What help have you had for your mental health in Coronavirus?

The effect on mental health in Coronavirus has been called the 'other pandemic'. Experts say the impact of social isolation and disrupted access to NHS services has left us on the verge of a national mental health crisis.

Young people are acutely affected - today the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is urging parents to look out for signs of eating disorders in children and young people. Its snapshot survey suggests in some parts of Great Britain doctors have seen a three or four-fold increase in cases compared to last year.

And earlier this week the country's leading psychiatrist said the Coronavirus crisis represents the greatest threat to mental health since World War Two. Dr Adrian James, the president of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, says as many as 10 million people could need help.
