Christmas Classics From Around The World

Conductor Adrian Partington and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ National Orchestra of Wales go on a musical exploration of Christmas and it's traditions throughout the world.

This Christmas, join the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ National Orchestra of Wales on a musical journey around the world, guided by soprano soloist Llio Evans. We begin in Italy with Respighi's Adoration of the Magi and voyage across the ocean to Argentina for Piazzolla's 'Winter in Buenos Aires', ending our journey in France just in time to hear Adam's 'Cantique de NoΓ«l', perhaps better known by its English title of 'O Holy Night'. There will of course be time for a few extra stops along the way!

This programme was recorded by a socially distanced Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ National Orchestra of Wales at their home of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff Bay in December 2020; with Adrian Partington (conductor), Llio Evans (presenter & soprano); and Lesley Hatfield (violin).
