Elaine C Smith

Elaine C Smith reveals the key moments in her pioneering career, from being a trainee teacher in Lanarkshire to becoming Scotland’s undisputed queen of comedy.

She is one of Scotland's most-loved female comedy performers, famous for playing Mary Doll in Rab C Nesbitt and her Bafta-winning performance as Christine in Two Doors Down, but the path to stardom wasn’t written for a young trainee teacher from Lanarkshire. She had to cut her own path and became a trailblazing pioneer in a once male-dominated industry and is now our undisputed queen of Scottish comedy.

Featuring a special interview with Elaine and other key people from her remarkable career including Alex Norton and more.
