Dennis Locorriere is the voice of Dr. Hook, the group whose string of great hits stretched from the early ‘70s right into the start of the ‘80s. Their best-loved song When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman is one of more than forty tracks featured on their new definitive collection titled Gold, and Dennis will be chatting with Johnnie about the band’s music and the plan to get their 50th anniversary tour up and running again in 2021.

Alice Cudlip from Tooting chooses an often-forgotten female icon from the mid-‘70s as our newest selection into Johnnie’s Jukebox.

This Week In Music features a cheeky little tune from 1978 from a true British eccentric, a song whose melody hook was heard at the Rio Carnival and later landed its singer in dispute with a Brazilian musician, and the 65th birthday of the man formally known as William Broad.
