Marisha Wallace

Kate and Jason talk to West End star turned recording artist Marisha Wallace about hope, dreams and the power of positivity.

As the sun (very slowly) rises over Salford, Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad have the perfect playlist for your Sunday morning.

Their guest this morning is Marisha Wallace, the West End star turned recording artist whose rendition of 'Tomorrow' recorded at home, whilst recovering from Covid, stopped us all in our tracks and raised money for fellow performers and theatre workers who'd suddenly lost their income.

Now releasing her debut album, Marisha tells Kate and Jason about growing up in rural North Carolina in a community where her father helped build their local Church, finding her voice and how 'The Book of Mormon' changed her life.

Also, the film director Hannes Schalle tells us about his documentary about one of our favourite Christmas carols. 'Silent Night - A Song For The World', narrated by Hugh Bonneville, goes back to 1818 in Austria to tell the story of how Silent Night was written and how the carol has gone on to be loved around the world.
