Award winning director, Steve McQueen’s ‘Small Axe’ collection of films document stories from London’s West Indian community. Mangrove, the first in the collection, premieres on Â鶹ԼÅÄ One and tells the story of the highly publicised Mangrove Nine court case in 1970. Stewart Kyasimire, a Black Scottish filmmaker, and Sir Geoff Palmer, academic and Human Rights Campaigner, give their verdict.
