Gary Davies sits in featuring Amanda Holden's Tracks Of My Years
Amanda Holden picks two more Tracks of My Years with Gary sitting in for Ken. There's the daily love song and more from the PopMaster Music Quiz.
Amanda Holden, singer, broadcaster, author and long-standing judge on 'Britainβs Got Talent', chooses the Tracks of My Years. Earlier this month she released her debut album 'Songs From My Heart' in which she celebrates songs from the world of musical theatre that have won a place in her heart over the years. The first glimpse of Amanda's return to music arrived in May this year when she released her debut single 'Over The Rainbow' to help raise vital funds during the Covid-19 crisis, with all proceeds going to NHS Charities Together. It peaked at number two in the charts while hitting the top spot on iTunes.
Amanda is no stranger to performing and singing, receiving an Olivier Award nomination for her debut West End role in 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'. Sheβs starred in numerous drama and comedy series including 'Cutting It' and 'Wild At Heart' and her musical theatre career has seen her perform as Princess Fiona in 'Shrek, The Musical' as well as producing and starring in 'Stepping Out'.
While musical theatre will always be her first love it was the small screen where she made her name. Her first appearance was as a contestant on 'Blind Date' aged just 19. She's appeared on 'Top Of The Pops 2', 'This Morning', Give A Pet A ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ' and of course 'Britain's got Talent' on which she's been a judge since it started in 2007. Notable acts to come through the show include Susan Boyle, Diversity and Paul Potts. Last year Amanda became the co-host of the Heart Breakfast Show which broadcasts in a number of regions across the UK.
The next two tracks she's picked come from Tears For Fears and Madonna. Gary also has the daily love song plus another round of PopMaster. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Gary.Davies@bbc.co.uk
