Danny Dyer chats to Jo about his Â鶹ԼÅÄ gameshow The Wall and Mick’s Christmas storyline in Eastenders.
Jo also speaks to movie critic James King about his FILM FOMOs - the gems you won’t want to miss. His choices this week include Trial of the Chicago 7, Kajillionaire and Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood.
Trial of the Chicago 7 is the story of 7 people on trial stemming from various charges surrounding the uprising at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest—including Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden and Bobby Seale—were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.
Trial of the Chicago 7 stars Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Mark Rylance, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, Succession’s Jeremy Strong, and Watchman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Kajillionaire follows con-artists Theresa (Debra Winger) and Robert (Richard Jenkins), who have spent 26 years training their only daughter, Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood), to swindle, scam, and steal at every opportunity. During a desperate, hastily conceived heist, they charm a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) into joining their next scam, only to have their entire world turned upside down.
Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about empathy, kindness, and decency from America's most beloved neighbor.
