Ged Grimes from Simple Minds; Glasvegas live music; Brain Tumour Research

Grant Stott talks to Perth theatre's Panto Dame Barrie Hunter about a socially distanced Pantomime he has written and stars in this year, and Paul English is Getting to Know Limmy.

Ged Grimes speaks to Grant about his decade with Simple Minds, being part of Danny Wilson before that, and discusses how the role music plays in games is so important to the gamer experience and how the soundtrack can exist on its own…and attract gamers to the artists behind the music.

Paul English is Getting to Know Twitch streamer Limmy this week ahead of his Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland programme Limmy’s Other Stuff showcasing his non-TV material, from his early pre-YouTube sketches, to his Vines, to his present day livestreaming, as he answers as many of Paul’s very personal questions as he can in just 3 minutes.

John Lanchester talks about his collection of Short tales, Reality and Other Stories.

Panto Dame Barrie Hunter tells Grant how they think they can keep the magic going for families this Christmas, and we hear a panto-inspired piece from one of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Upload’s creative contributors.

Kaite Bourgeois, 29, from Edinburgh, tells us about her incredible achievement, walking 75km throughout September, due to her determination to use exercise to help prepare her physically and mentally for a gruelling brain operation, which takes place on Tuesday. Kaite will have pre-recorded her interview on Monday, the day before her operation, and Brain Tumour Research spokesperson Hugh Adams puts Kaite’s diagnosis, which was only picked up when she was bothered with tinnitus, into context for us, and tells us how we can Make a Difference for people like Kaite by supporting brain tumour research.

And we end the show by bringing a taste of the reality we all miss with a special performance from Glasvegas, previewing Quay Sessions with Roddy Hart which continues Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland’s Live Music Week.
