Peter Jackson with cricketer Roger Davis
Welsh cricketer Roger Davis says heβs lucky to be alive after a passing doctor saved him.
Roger Davis completed a remarkable hat-trick in the cause of Welsh cricket. He was the man who came closest to ruining Garfield Sobersβ history-making six sixes feat at Swansea. He helped guarantee Glamorganβs unbeaten county Championship win in 1969. And in an age where helmets were unheard of, he was told he had βdiedβ after being hit on the head at point-blank range by a speeding cricket ball. Now he admits to Peter Jackson that a day doesnβt go by when he doesnβt wake up and consider heβs lucky to be alive.
