Jo chats to Doves鈥� Jimi Goodwin and the band performs a Sofa Session.

The band will release their first album in 11 years on 11th September, called 鈥楾he Universal Want鈥�.

Following the release of their fourth album Kingdom Of Rust, Doves went on an indefinite hiatus. They reunited in 2018 and played a Teenage Cancer Trust show at London鈥檚 Royal Albert Hall last year.

Guitarist Jez Williams says: 鈥淚t鈥檚 definitely got the stamp of 鈥榯he time鈥� all over it. Everything on the album is an echo. It鈥檚 an echo of what we were going through at the time. Getting back together, the Royal Albert Hall and everything else.鈥�

Plus the Thursday Theme, which this week is Mary Poppins. On August 27th 1964, the Disney Classic premiered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
