Debbie Harry and Chris Stein from Blondie stopped by and discussed why the Punk and New Wave movements were inevitable at the end of the decade, especially when American F.M. rockers got lazy. They talk about the scene in New York at the time, and how they and their fellow ‘outsiders’ flipped things on their head, unwittingly becoming global mainstream pop stars in the process.

‘This Week In Music’ features the debut release from one of the U.K.’s great independent labels, Stiff Records. Plus an unlikely chart double that occurred in 1975 when an often-forgotten U.S. soul act landed both the no.1 single and album in this country.
