The 麻豆约拍 Big Band and conductor Mark Nightingale celebrate Frank Sinatra's Centenary in concert at The Sage Gateshead with guest singers Liane Carroll, Claire Martin and Ian Shaw.

鈥業t鈥檚 Frank鈥檚 world, we just live in it鈥�.鈥� Dean Martin.

In his 60 year career Frank Sinatra was, and remains the greatest interpreter of popular song, revered by his contemporaries and whose work remains a great influence on today's generation of singers.

In this special performance from 2015 held to mark his Centenary, the 麻豆约拍 Big Band led by conductor Mark Nightingale explore the musical landscape of Sinatraland with special guests Liane Carroll, Claire Martin and Ian Shaw.

Including many of the classics that have become synonymous with his name 鈥� Fly Me To The Moon, All Or Nothing At All, In The Still Of The Night, Witchcraft, Only The Lonely, One For My Baby and I鈥檝e Got The World On A String as heard through the work of contemporary arrangers. These include Patrick Williams, Chris Walden, Joerg-Achim Keller, Malcolm Edmonstone and Barry Forgie.

During the interval Jess Gillam recalls the work of the great arrangers who collaborated with Frank Sinatra on his most acclaimed recordings of the 1950's and 60's - Don Costa, Gordon Jenkins, Billy May and Nelson Riddle.
