Blue-badge Ulster-Scots in the Maiden City, finding a playwright in the family tree and poems for wee people.

A tour of the Maiden City to find β€œblue-badge” Ulster-Scots; trying to find the right famous relation in the family tree; and a new collection of poems for wee people.

From Magee College, to the Tower Museum and beyond the Boyne - a dander round the Maiden City introduces us to some notable Ulster-Scots; Jonnie hears about an American genealogist’s search for a famous relation – with just her granny’s yarns to guide her. Rab hears about a new book of Scots poems for the wee people and there’s plenty of banter and blether for this week’s Kintra team of Helen Mark, Jonnie Crawford, Rab Lennox and Willie Hill.

They’d love to hear from listeners with an Ulster-Scots yarn or a tune to share – you can email the team at kintra@bbc.co.uk .
