Lo-fi visionary electronica from 1970s to mid 1980's. Idiosyncratic voices nestle beside early drum machines and sci-fi synths to create off-kilter pop and early dance music.
Lo-fi visionary electronica from the late 1970's to mid 1980's compiled by Liela Moss, solo artist and frontwoman of the band Duke Spirit. Idiosyncratic voices nestle beside early drum machines and throbby sci-fi synths to create off-kilter agit pop and early dance music. Along the way we are guided by cult figures such as innovator Arthur Russell and Patrick Cowley; into the gay erotica of the San Francisco sound and New York hi-NRG genres. Then via Amsterdam's pre-disco club scene and early techno in Japan.
