Willie Jones in session!

Bob is joined by country/hip hop crossover star Willie Jones for a home session like no other! From his Louisiana front room the US X Factor star plays 2 of his hits acoustically.

This week Bob is joined for a home session by the amazing Willie Jones, who caused a sensation amongst UK country fans when he made his live debut in this country last autumn.

He's a ground-breaking star, fusing urban and country in his music to tremendous effect - Rolling Stone magazine said of his music "despite being steeped in the diction, delivery and aesthetic presentation of hip-hop, it sounds entirely like commercial country: full of clever wordplay, heavily processed banjo and down-the-middle Nashville subject material"

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when so many musicians are unable to tour, Radio 2's Country Show is asking artists to perform from their own front room, doing a little to keep the bond between artist and audience alive. First up was Carly Pearce, followed by Thomas Rhett, Mandy Barnett, Gretchen Peters, Steve Earle, Kip Moore & Lukas Nelson with the likes of Billy Strings, Ingrid Andress, Ruthie Collins and Scotty McCreery to come.
