Film Reviews including Da 5 Bloods, King of Staten Island and My Favourite Wife

Grant Stott will be hosting our Streaming Film Review Hour: we’ll hear about Da 5 Bloods from Academy Award Winner Spike Lee. Its the story of four African-American Vets who return to Vietnam; searching for the remains of their fallen Squad Leader and the promise of buried treasure!

The King of Staten Island is also under review – Judd Apatow directs Saturday Night Live breakout Pete Davidson in a bracing comedy about love, loss and laughter on Staten Island…and a bone fide classic – My Favourite Wife – a timeless screwball comedy with Cary Grant Irene Dunne and Randolph Scott.

Regular Afternoon Show Arts critic Pasquale Iannone will also be on hand to discuss the centenary of the great Alberto Sordi, one of Italy's most famous and best-loved actor/directors and a national icon. He had a career spanning more than 50 years and almost 200 films; starring in two early films by Federico Fellini and he also worked on Hollywood films such as The Best of Enemies and Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines.
