Episode 6
Customers test and score a dry-wash shampoo, a measuring tool and a clamp to keep wheelie bin lids closed.
Lucy Alexander is joined by three inventors to watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious products.
Aware he was being a neighbourhood menace with his noisy, banging bin lids, electrician Scott has come up with a gadget that clamps on to the back of a wheelie bin to prevent the lid going bump in the night. When tradesman Steve was commissioned to measure up some door frames, he devised a simple stainless-steel tool that gives exact measurements. And entrepreneur Purdey worked in banking before quitting to join the circus as a trapeze artist. But her real dream was to run her own business, so when her young daughter developed an aversion to having her hair washed, Purdey came up with the idea of a dry-wash shampoo for kids that should help calm bath-time traumas.
Once all three inventors have watched the customer responses and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner’s trophy.
