Episode 23 of 24

The four finalists face a challenge set by the world’s greatest pastry chef, Albert Adria.

In tonight’s penultimate show, the four finalists face the challenge of a lifetime. They will be mentored by the world’s greatest pastry chef, Albert Adria. Formerly El Bulli’s creative director and head of pastry, Albert, alongside his brother Ferran, led a revolution that changed the world of food forever. After El Bulli closed in 2011, Albert opened six restaurants in Barcelona, and in 2018 he opened his first pastry restaurant outside Spain - Cakes and Bubbles in London’s Café Royal. Each finalist has to meticulously recreate two of Albert’s creations for a table of world-class pastry experts.

Finally, the four amateur chefs are tasked with creating one exceptional dish for John and Gregg that will showcase their growing cooking talent. It’s their last chance to bring together everything they’ve learned - to let their creativity fly and prove they are worthy finalists. This high-pressure cook-off will be the end of the journey for one of the four contestants, as only three can make it through to the final round.
