Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad bring people together on Easter Sunday and are joined by West End star and soul singer Shaun Escoffery.
With Churches closed, it will be a very different Easter Sunday for many. Kate and Jason hear from worshippers at home about their celebrations on this special day for Christians. They're joined by the most senior Catholic in England and Wales, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster to reflect on the poignance of the Easter message at this time.
Plus gospel, soul and R&B singer Shaun Escoffery is their guest. He tells Kate and Jason about his new gospel-inflected album 'Strong Enough' , his long-running success on the West End stage as Mufasa in the Lion King, the importance of his Christian faith and how he's come a long way since his humble beginnings in East London.
And we celebrate the Sikh festival of Vaisakhi by hearing new music especially recorded for our friends at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Asian Network by exciting new folk singer Deesh Sandhu, salute those who have made us smile this week and speak to Paul Maleary, part of Ex-Job Community Volunteers, who bring together ex-Police officers and the military to help their local communities.
Producer: Rebecca Maxted.
