The truth (maybe) about St Patrick, writing verse in Ulster-Scots and fiddle playing with a regional accent.

The truth (maybe) about St Patrick, the newest song about the saint, creative writing in Ulster-Scots and playing the fiddle with a local accent.

This week Helen Mark and Rab Lennox are joined in studio by John Watt who performs his freshly written song about St Patrick while Jonnie Crawford hears about the β€˜real’ saint. Jonnie also meets the U3A group whose creative writing work includes Ulster-Scots while Maebh McKeon tells Willie Hill about regional accents in traditional fiddle playing.
The team loves to hear from listeners – so why not get in touch to tell them about the Ulster-Scots events you’re planning or stories to share by emailing them at kintra@bbc.co.uk, and they’re always up for a bit of blether if you bump into them out and about, so say hello!
