Balach aig aβ Mhullach
A young boy from Skye takes part in a challenge to climb a series of mountains that combined are equal in height to Mount Everest.
Twelve-year old-Lachlan from the Isle of Skye has taken on a special challenge, with a group of friends from his local church. They are to climb a succession of mountains, which together are equal in height to Mount Everest. As we join them, they have only two climbs left, but this includes Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles.
Commissioned as part of the European Broadcasting Unionβs I Can Do It film scheme for children, this short documentary follows Lachlan as he embarks on the most daunting leg of the task. We meet him, his family and friends throughout the preparation stage, and finally travel with him as he tackles Ben Nevis. With stunning aerial photography, Lachlan takes us with him on a challenge that few 12-year-olds will ever face.
Tha Lachlan, aois dà bhliadhna dheug às an Eilean Sgìtheanach, a gabhail dùbhlan sònraichte os là imh.
