Elaine C. Smith discusses her role in Bertolt Brecht’s comic play Mrs Puntila and Her Man Matti

Grant Stott hears from not one but two female Scottish comedy legends: including the brilliant Actress and comedian Elaine C. Smith who is about to take on the might of Bertolt Brecht! Denise Mina has adapted his comic play Mrs Puntila and Her Man Matti and cast Elaine in the lead role.

He will also hear from Glasgow's own Janey Godley who is taking her SOUP POT TOUR up and down the country; she has recently become a YouTube sensation (!) with her hilarious Glaswegian-accent voiceovers of footage including figures such as Theresa May and Boris Johnson - such lampooning is also a highlight of her live material - we’ll hear all about it.

Ahead of its upcoming screening at the Glasgow Film Festival, Documentary Film Producer Viv Perry will discuss THE CHANGIN’ TIMES OF IKE WHITE – the remarkable story of a musical prodigy who found himself in prison at the age of 19 - serving life for murder (!) In 1974, however he released "Changin' Times" a stunning album of songs - recorded inside an American prison by an inmate - the film charts his journey out from prison into industry adulation and life as a free man.

Regular Afternoon show Arts Critic and ‘Twilight Zone’ aficionado Ian Hoey will be previewing Jordan Peele’s new Twilight Zone reboot; he will be discussing it all and exploring the legacy of the classic and timeless original series…

All that and the brilliant Lloyd Griffith - comedian, choirboy and an ‘aspiring’ goalkeeper! He recently supported Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on their respective sold out UK tours and now he’s going on tour with his own new show ‘Not Just A Pretty Face’ – it’s coming to Scotland!
