Bob Catley and Tony Clarkin from Magnum
Magnum frontman Bob Catley and guitarist Tony Clarkin choose a joint Rock God, plus Johnnie raids the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ archives for 'This Week In Rock' and plays the week's new rock releases.
Singer Bob Catley and guitarist Tony Clarkin formed Magnum in 1972. Their primary aim at the time was to secure a residency at Birmingham's Rum Runner club - they succeeded and have now managed to secure a legacy as one of British rock's most long-running bands. Though the line up has changed over the years, the core of Bob and Tony has remained. They've just released their brand new album, 'The Serpent Rings' and they're on the show to choose their joint Rock God! Also on the show, Johnnie will revisit a milestone in the rock world for 'This Week In Rock' and he's got a slew of essential new releases as well as a stack of classics to play, too.
