Christmas celebrations from the candlelit chapel of King's College, Cambridge. The world-famous choir is directed by former King's College organ scholar Daniel Hyde.

A solo chorister sings Once in Royal David's City to begin the traditional celebration of Christmas from the candlelit chapel of King's College, Cambridge. The world-famous choir sings carols old and new, directed for the first time by former King's College organ scholar Daniel Hyde.

Carols include the Sussex Carol (arr Vaughan Williams), There is No Rose (Elizabeth Maconchy) and O Holy Night (Adolphe Adam, arr JE West).

The Christmas story is told in the words of the King James Bible and poems by Patrick Carey and Ruth Padel. The service is led by the dean, the Rev Dr Stephen Cherry, and the chaplain, the Rev Andrew Hammond.
