Gary Davies sits in for Ken Bruce this week and Jane McDonald selects the Tracks of My Years.
Jane McDonald shot to fame when she appeared in "The Cruise" - a 1998 reality TV show that followed the crew of the Galaxy - a luxury cruise liner making its maiden voyage around the Caribbean. Jane was the singer in the entertainment team. The series was a huge hit with a regular weekly audience of 10 million people. Her first album "Jane McDonald" is mentioned in the Guinness book of records naming Jane as the first artist to enter the charts at number one without a prior release. She regularly tours and her concerts fill venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the London Palladium and the MGM Grand, Las Vegas. 20 years since she first hit our TV screens Jane is now one the of country's most popular TV hosts appearing regularly on "Loose Women" and hosting her own shows "Cruising with Jane McDonald" which won the BAFTA for Best Feature in 2018 and Jane McDonald and Friends. The second part of her autobiography "Riding the Waves" was published in October. All this week she recalls the Tracks of My Years.
