Sir Michael Morpurgo and stargazing with Mark Thompson

Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad meet Sir Michael Morpurgo and look to the stars with astronomer Mark Thompson.

Sir Michael Morpurgo, former Children's Laureate and author of War Horse joins Kate and Jason to talk about 'Mimi And The Mountain Dragon' this year's animated treat for Boxing Day. Morpurgo's tale about a brave little girl who rescues a baby dragon has been set to classical music performed by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic Orchestra.

Kate and Jason are also joined by astronomer, television presenter and writer Mark Thompson, best known for being one of the presenting team on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ show Stargazing Live. He discusses the star of Bethlehem and talks of his plans to break the world record in September 2020, for the longest ever lecture.

Plus two Charity Champions to inspire and give us pause in the mad dash up to Christmas. Vet Jade Statt is the co-founder of StreetVet, a charity which helps care for the dogs of people who are homeless or living rough in 16 cities across the UK. Phil Bradshaw and his dog Lucky were helped by StreetVet, and are now raising money for the charity.
